John Shevlin's father started Shevlin Millinery, a hat manufacturing company in Malahide, Co. Dublin in 1960. John has followed in that tradition and has designed and made hats for many of Ireland's finest retailers including Arnotts. Shevlin Millinery remains the only blocked felt and straw hat manufacturer in Ireland. John makes in plain woolfelt, woolfelt mixes, velours and fur felts.
John ranks as one of the most established and respected milliners in the Irish fashion scene. His hats are exported to finer stores worldwide. Shelvin hats are regularly featured in Irish magazines, television, theatre, fashions hows and blogs.
