Wexford lies on the estuary of the River Slaney. The town was founded by the Vikings in about 800 AD and for about 300 years it was a Viking town, a city state, largely independent and owing only token dues to the Irish kings of Leinster. County Wexford was the center of the 1798 rebellion against British rule. Wexford town was held by the rebels throughout the fighting. The knotwork represents our interconnectiveness to all beings through the heart coming into alignment with God through releasing the need to control by declaring "Thy Will Be Done".
Due to the hand casting and proprietary staining process, each of my plaques is unique. Each cross comes with a hanger embedded in the stone. The cross comes with a descriptive tag describing the original stone, explanation of the design or information on where the cross is located.
